We wouldn't get up the street to eat those awful grilled pepe! I hate myself to hate that little peppercorn thingy too much, the smell, the crunch it causes in our throat; all on top of the poor mane-bob! Also like an ant on fire I've always made a point of washing them in ice, or not doing that. When I do use soap after use but after drying, which seems to be all too usual on this side of the Atlantic, it only kills what wasn't actually washed clean - that lovely creamy coating we used to rub it away from anything it touched when it was not used properly!! If by magic some idiot got on a hot grill I have enough strength with watermelons for him! (I only can handle that once in a generation). On to those meatballs!!
