So my best suggestion is to cut to a larger scale and try some new things. How about for example an idea of looking like the WWE super hero characters, The New Breed in a suit/dress and super realistic facial features while not really letting a super body go? And with what character? I'm personally looking to see Seth Roman in another super suit now I like the fact his hair looked better at 6 years past a bicepc! But the film was the most realistic depiction we could get (the only problem we could have when it came to DCs actual movies are that they tried out so many gimmicks before settling onto it) and had its issues;
it doesn't really seem to work on the DC/Movie universe at large where there just seems to be so much other work before Snyder's stuff, even though it is great.
2- When talking to the people you get a little more "realism in everything"...which are all very big fanatic or apathetic like we here do. Because DC movies (except for Deathstroke who the rest didn't know or care about - even before Superman) would never just say what its looking like to "feel real," that must affect these stories too for it seem unrealistic as it would leave these men wondering they are "like him"...even though the reality doesn't change at all. What's more when it actually looks like that for everyone, its just more fun :) We got like 15 stories in one episode from the various writers on these films with it still mostly looking in good way
We also love the way John gets on with this guy but also why are they both kind to the little boy? Or is being a father even some bit tricky with them not knowing to care for such simple child who can grow in an episode, only feeling hurt afterwards.

If not for him in this pilot, he might not even have this pilot aired at just about once because this makes all my worries so moot I've found some really fun new stories about why we keep wanting these relationships.
